These are people standing in front of the plant, dated and located to the metre — the densest Hawaiian evidence available. What they cannot tell you is whether the fruit was ripe.

Birds carry this one, so a treated site is not a closed problem — seed arrives from wherever else the species is fruiting. Timing matters at landscape scale, not just on your parcel.
